FAQ

We are manufacturer specialized in producing various metal and soft PVC promotional gifts, souvenirs and crafts.

Yes. Our products are made of eco-freidnly material and have passed safety tests such as SGS, etc. Our factory was also audited by Disney and Wal-Mart.

The design and ordering process is simple. It starts with you providing us your custom pin ideas and any reference images or logos you want incorporated in your pin design. You can email this information to us directly, fill out a quote form, or use our live chat. We’d also be happy to talk through the details on the phone. We then take your ideas and give them to one of our professional graphic designers. They create a digital mock-up, which we call a proof, that shows you what the finished pin will look like. We email that to you for your review. Along with this proof, we will include a price quote. The price quote is dependent on the design, quantity, and pin size. If the design is perfect on the first try (always our goal), you can place the order, and we’ll begin production! If the design isn’t there yet, just let us know what you’d like changed and our team will revise the design until it’s just right with no costs or obligation to order.

The minimum order is 100 lapel pins. Unit prices drop quickly on larger orders. The more you order, the lower the unit price!

Generally speaking, the minimum quantity is 100 pieces. However, if you really need this custom sample. We can produce, but this will be charged at the price of producing 100 units.

No, all of our pricing is per design due to fixed costs associated with creating custom products. For example, many people ask: can I order 100 items but with 3 different designs? We would not be able to do that because our minimum order is 50 per design. This potential order would only consist of 33 items per design. However, if you want to order the same design with 3 color variants that would be okay, assuming the designs are exactly the same and the only change is the color.

We show unlimited digital proofs once you complete checkout. You can cancel anytime prior to production for a full refund. You can modify the size, style, or quantity during the proofing process. Our team of artist can accommodate any artwork changes. Things they can do include but are not limited to: adding text, deleting text, removing backgrounds, cutting the design to shape, or adding/changing/removing colors. It is important to note that we do not begin production until you have approved a final virtual proof.

Yes, if you would like to see your design with different colors or plating options, please include those details in your order notes at checkout. You can also relay those notes to us via email once the order is placed. Our artists will be happy to mock the different variations for you to review and choose from. Since color and plating variations do not require a new mold, you can even opt to split up the qty of the order across the different variations.

Yes, you can cancel anytime during the proofing process prior to production.  We will refund you card. It is important to note that we do not begin production until you have approved a final virtual proof. Once you have approved a layout and production has begun, we cannot cancel the order.

Soft Enamel Pins are the most popular style of pin. It is the standard option that we recommend to 90% of our customers for it’s high-quality and inexpensive price point. The Look: Soft Enamel Pins are made from metal (iron or zinc alloy) and then filled with enamel color. The result is a textured surface where you can feel the raised and recessed details of the design. It has the “grooved” or “textured” feel. Enamel colors cannot have shading/gradients. The colors must be solid and separated by metal lines. Custom shapes are allowed at no additional cost. Production Time: 2-3 weeks.

Hard Enamel Pins are the second most popular style of pin. They are produced in the same manner as Soft Enamel Pins however, the enamel color is filled to the top of the mold and the surface is polished flat. The Look: Hard Enamel Pins have a higher perceived value and are slightly more expensive than Soft Enamel. There are no raised/recessed details and they have a “smooth” and “polished” feel. Custom shapes are allowed at no additional cost. Production Time: 2-3 weeks.

Photodome Printed Pins are recommended for highly detailed designs that have shading or gradient colors. Even the most complex designs can be achieved in Photodome. The designs are printed rather than filled with enamel colors, unlike hard and soft enamel.

The Look: Photodome Pins have a lower perceived value than enamel pins and are only recommend for customers who have highly complex designs that can’t be achieved in hard or soft enamel. The printed designs are typically covered with an epoxy dome to increase durability and longevity. Custom shapes are allowed at no additional cost. Production Time: 2-3 weeks.

Diestruck Antique Pins are similar to soft enamel without colors. There is a textured surface where you can feel the raised and recessed details of the design. The metal is "antiqued" meaning it provides a matte or lusterless look. Custom shapes are allowed at no additional cost. The Look: All antique metal and no colors. Production Time: 2-3 weeks.

Sand Blast Polish Pins are similar to Diestruck Antique pins, however the finish is polished and shiny. Custom shapes are allowed. The Look: All shiny metal and no colors. Production Time: 2-3 weeks.

Dyed metal finishes open up a number of different options for artworks. By dying the metal we can simplify both the number of colors and cavities required to finish a given piece. Perhaps its biggest benefit is the ability to create a true black finish on the metal. Because of the polishing, the same flat black, or other dyed metal options are not available for hard enamel. Instead if the client desires to have black metal for hard enamel it must be done through black nickel plating. The ‘Black Nickel’ name is a bit deceiving. At certain angles it appears to be a true shiny black, in others it looks more silvery grey. When chosen with the correct art, a black nickel hard enamel piece can look spectacular.

The polishing process added to the hard enamel style usually removes some of the sparkle.

Hard enamel products are embossed, overfilled with enamel color, and then polished to create a smooth-to-the-touch surface. Soft enamel products are also die cast and filled with enamel, but they are not filled to the top. The result is a textured surface where you can feel the raised/recessed details. Soft enamel products can have more detail, while hard enamel products take extra days to produce due to the extra steps involved.

Photodome is synonymous with printed pins, coins, keychains, and more. It is used to describe the epoxy layer added over a printed design to give the final product a "dome" feel and appearance.
