ASNY Craft Factory at the 2026 Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair: Facing Industry Changes with Real Products and Manufacturing Strength

From April 27 to 30, 2026, ASNY Craft Factory participated in the 41st Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.

As the largest gift industry exhibition in Asia and the second-largest gifts and premium fair in the world (after the Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt, Germany), the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair has long been an important platform for the global gifts, souvenirs, badges, keychains, and metal crafts industry. Unlike many commercially operated exhibitions, this fair is organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).

The HKTDC is an official trade promotion organization whose mission goes far beyond exhibition management. Its long-term goal is to promote international trade and strengthen Hong Kong’s role as an Asian sourcing hub. Because of this, the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair has consistently maintained strong international participation and overseas buyer coverage, becoming one of the key annual sourcing events for many global buyers.

However, the overall industry environment has clearly changed in recent years. According to public data, the 32nd Hong Kong Gifts Fair in 2016 had 4,312 exhibitors and 49,637 buyers. By 2025, the number of exhibitors had dropped to 3,570, while buyer attendance declined to 35,841. This represents a decrease of approximately 17.2% in exhibitors and 27.8% in buyers. These changes are not limited to the exhibition itself. They reflect the broader reality facing the gifts and souvenir industry over the past few years.

Manufacturers continue to face rising production and labor costs. At the same time, global retail purchasing has become increasingly cautious. Changes in the international environment have also increased travel expenses, logistics costs, and the time required for cross-border business communication. Discussions about the future of the industry have become more conservative, while negative opinions about traditional manufacturing and trade exhibitions continue to grow.

Even so, ASNY still chose to exhibit in 2026. For us, exhibitions are never only about receiving orders. More importantly, they allow customers to truly see the products, experience the craftsmanship, and understand the real manufacturing capabilities behind a factory.

On one hand, many of our long-term overseas clients regularly visit Hong Kong. Compared with online communication, face-to-face meetings allow more direct discussions about product development, production techniques, and changing market demand. Customers can also personally examine new products and new craftsmanship in real life.

On the other hand, for potential customers who have communicated with us but not yet officially cooperated, seeing and touching real samples often builds trust far more effectively than pictures or videos. Especially for metal craft products, material texture, weight, dimensional structure, and surface finishing are extremely important. These physical details cannot be fully replaced through online presentations.

At the same time, we also hope that more buyers, brands, and trading companies visiting Hong Kong can directly experience the manufacturing quality coming from Dongguan, China, and make their own comparisons.

ASNY always values every opportunity to communicate directly with the market. Even while the industry continues to face challenges, we still hope to show a stable, honest, and long-term manufacturing mindset.

That confidence comes from the products themselves. At this exhibition, ASNY continued focusing on “real product displays,” using a wide range of craftsmanship, a mature and stable production system, numerous custom projects for different global markets, and many structurally complex products to systematically present our comprehensive manufacturing capabilities in badges, keychains, souvenirs, medals, and metal gifts.

From ODM Stock Products to Tourist Souvenirs: Lower Purchasing Barriers and Reduced Startup Risks

In recent years, we have clearly noticed that many buyers, trading companies, and even small startup teams no longer have complete design departments or mature product development capabilities due to shrinking operational scale. Especially in tourist souvenirs, holiday retail, pop-up events, and market sales, businesses often need a large number of ready-made designs for end consumers to choose from. As a result, “fast sourcing,” “low-risk trial sales,” and “large SKU selections” have gradually become important market demands.

Based on these changes, ASNY has continuously invested in developing a large number of ODM stock products, commonly known in the industry as “ready-made products.”

These include various enamel phone stickers, fridge magnets, small badges, and tourist souvenir products. For example, enamel phone stickers are usually produced in sizes ranging from 25mm to 45mm, with removable adhesive backing that can be directly attached to phone cases or electronic devices. Fridge magnets are generally larger, around 50mm to 80mm, and use full magnetic backing structures, making them more suitable for souvenir shops, cultural gift stores, and home decoration markets.

These products are widely used in tourist souvenir stores, holiday booths, pop-up events, market retail, and small wholesale businesses. However, ASNY is not simply producing generic stock items.

Most products are developed by experienced designers based on real consumer demand. During the design stage, we carefully consider market aesthetics, display logic, and consumer purchasing habits in different regions.

In other words, we are not only manufacturing products — we are also helping customers complete part of the end-market product development process in advance.

At the same time, ASNY has established clearly categorized product catalogs and mature inventory systems, supported by an experienced English-speaking sales team, making the sourcing process simpler and more efficient. Lower purchasing requirements also help many entrepreneurs reduce early-stage trial-and-error risks when entering the tourist souvenir, holiday retail, and cultural gift markets.

OEM Custom Manufacturing Remains the Core: More Than Just “Producing from Artwork”

Although ODM stock products have grown significantly in recent years, OEM customization remains the core business of ASNY and the true foundation of our factory.

With 22 years of manufacturing and international trade experience, ASNY has accumulated extensive experience in complex projects and high-standard customer requirements. We understand that the most difficult part is often not manufacturing itself, but how to truly transform a design into a successful finished product.

In many cases, customers only provide concept sketches, flat artwork, or even just an idea. Whether the final product can achieve the expected result depends heavily on the manufacturer’s understanding of craftsmanship, structure, and mass-production feasibility. For example:

  • Which designs are better suited for soft enamel or imitation hard enamel
  • Which details are better reproduced through printing
  • Which elements should be creatively expressed through metal lines
  • How to balance budget and visual effect
  • Which dimensional structures are more suitable for die casting
  • Which plating finishes can better improve overall texture and appearance

All of these decisions require long-term manufacturing experience.

For this reason, ASNY is not simply acting as a contract manufacturer. In many projects, we actively provide production-based recommendations, structural optimization solutions, and craftsmanship adjustment suggestions according to customer designs. Our goal is to help customers find a better balance between budget, production methods, and visual results.

Years of experience serving international brands and handling complex projects have also allowed us to build strong expertise in highly detailed products, irregular structures, multilayer assemblies, deep 3D die-casting, and special craftsmanship projects. When facing difficult projects, we prefer finding solutions rather than avoiding complexity.

Three Display Walls Systematically Show Product Categories, Structures, and Craftsmanship

At this exhibition, ASNY carefully used the three-wall booth layout to display products in a clearer, more direct, and more organized way, helping customers quickly understand the differences between various production techniques and product applications.

Inside the entrance glass showcase, several custom zinc alloy trophies and commemorative medals were displayed. Some trophy products used highly dimensional structures created through multilayer die casting and complex curved surfaces, combined with mirror polishing, electroplating, and partial coloring to create a heavier and more commemorative visual effect. The display also included specially customized medals for cultural companies, as well as commemorative products featuring dual magnetic structures and glitter finishing effects that produced richer visual layers under exhibition lighting.

At the top center of the booth, lapel pins were displayed on actual hats, allowing customers to better understand the real wearing size and matching effect of badge products. The entire top row of framed displays systematically presented different custom product collections, including:

  • Nordic gallery art pin series
  • Middle Eastern cultural symbol collections
  • Realistic helicopter and aircraft lapel pins
  • Pilot wing badges
  • Disney pins with more than 15 years of production history
  • 2008 Beijing Olympic Committee badges
  • Etched badges
  • Metal and PVC nameplates
  • Military medal products

These products covered different themes and markets while demonstrating ASNY’s long-term experience in complex structures, high-detail reproduction, and combined manufacturing techniques.

The second row displayed pet tags, zinc alloy fashion accessories, and jewelry products through acrylic stands, including uniform badges, phone charms, retractable badge reels, cufflinks, shoe charms, wristbands, and luggage tags.

The third row mainly displayed commemorative coins, metal cards, and automotive emblems using screw-and-nut mounting structures, which require high standards for metal thickness, surface precision, and installation structures.

7×13 Keychain Display Wall: Systematically Showing Structural and Craftsmanship Differences

On the outer right-side wall of the booth, ASNY created a systematic 7-row by 13-column keychain display wall.

The first column mainly displayed PVC keychains, including single-sided, double-sided, raised, and highly dimensional structures to demonstrate the differences between various PVC production techniques.

The second column focused on different keyring structures, including large keyrings, small keyrings, lobster clasps, and combination structures using lobster hooks with keyrings. Today, many customers no longer want only traditional standard accessories. Instead, they hope to create stronger product differentiation and design value through accessory structures themselves.

The third column displayed printed keychains, including fully printed products and enamel or imitation hard enamel products combined with partial printing.

Compared with traditional enamel products that rely on metal lines for creative expression, printing techniques are better suited for photographic artwork, gradient effects, and highly detailed logo reproduction.

The fourth column displayed soft enamel keychains, while the fifth column showed imitation hard enamel keychains. Although many customers easily confuse the two, their surface appearance and touch are actually very different. Hard enamel products have a smoother surface, while soft enamel products maintain clearly separated metal lines that create stronger texture and dimensional feeling. For more detailed differences, customers are welcome to visit the ASNY website and read our dedicated article comparing soft enamel and imitation hard enamel techniques.

The sixth column mainly displayed pure electroplated keychains, emphasizing the premium metallic appearance created through different plating colors and reflective metal surfaces.

The seventh column showcased many dimensional keychains, including multilayer structures, irregular shapes, and complex die-cast products designed to demonstrate higher-level 3D manufacturing capabilities.

From Phone Stickers to Lapel Pins: Rebuilding Product Structures for Better Display Effects

On the left side of the keychain display wall, ASNY once again used magnetic blackboards to display large quantities of enamel mini badges.

Unlike the English typography and desert-themed collections shown at previous exhibitions in Shanghai and Beijing, this exhibition mainly featured Middle Eastern cultural symbols, including national flags, national emblems, map outlines, royal portraits, and traditional decorative elements popular in Middle Eastern markets.

In fact, these products were originally phone stickers rather than lapel pins. Their backs used removable adhesive structures.

However, phone stickers are not suitable for direct wall displays because they are difficult to fix in place and cannot easily present a complete visual effect. Therefore, before the exhibition, we specifically arranged for our production staff to weld pin backs onto each product individually so they could be displayed through the magnetic system.

The process was extremely time-consuming and added significant extra work. Even so, ASNY still insisted on doing it because we wanted customers to observe design details, craftsmanship, and color effects more directly and more efficiently instead of simply placing products on a display table.

In the left-side area, we also used a more scenario-based presentation method for the first time.

For example, enamel phone stickers were directly displayed on actual phone cases, while lapel pins were shown attached to canvas bags. Compared with simply placing products separately, these real-life usage scenes help customers better understand product size, matching effects, and end-market presentation, while also making it easier to imagine actual retail sales scenarios.

Medals, Fridge Magnets, and Special Lanyards: Showing More Structural Possibilities

The left-side area of the booth displayed real fridge magnet products.

Unlike badge products converted through magnetic accessories, these fridge magnets are usually larger in size, more decorative visually, and better suited for tourist souvenir and home decoration markets.

Many of these products were developed as custom customer projects, further demonstrating ASNY’s development capabilities in tourist souvenirs and cultural merchandise.

Nearby medal displays included not only traditional gold, silver, and bronze medal structures, but also oversized medals, rotating structures, highly dimensional designs, irregular shapes, and hollow-cut structures.

At the same time, the booth also displayed various special lanyards, including gradient-color lanyards, full-print lanyards, and theme-specific lanyards designed for different events and competitions.

These products not only showcased the medals themselves, but also demonstrated ASNY’s capabilities in complete accessory development and structural expansion.

Continuing to Exhibit: Letting Customers See a Factory That Still Takes Products Seriously

For ASNY, continuing to participate in exhibitions is not simply about gaining exposure.

More importantly, during times of industry change and market uncertainty, we want customers to truly see that a Chinese manufacturing factory is still seriously making products, continuously developing new ideas, maintaining stable production, and remaining committed to long-term investment.

From ODM stock products to complex OEM customization, from small tourist souvenirs to highly detailed dimensional metal crafts, from traditional badges and keychains to more innovative structures and real-life application scenarios, ASNY always hopes to maintain a stable and long-term connection with the market through real products and real manufacturing capabilities.
